Honey Drippers?

I just re-heard some of this the other day. Interesting. Other than I looove Plant's voice...any thoughts on this? I, personally like the old influence of blues and whatnot.

Good EP. Like it alot...even in spite of Paul Schaefer. The sound comes from the old Ronnie Specter R&B days. "Rockin' to Midnight" is a really nice cover of a fun old Ray Charles tune. Good stuff, good stuff. "Ray Charles, Ray Charles." (reference to an old Flip Wilson bit)

I enjoyed this when it first came out. I heard some on the radio this weekend and was glad to.

Interesting thing about that EP is that it's exactly the style of music that Robert started with. Then he went Zep. Then he went back.

Some folks thought he did as a gag. No, no young ones. That IS Robert Plant.

And what saddens me most is they werethisclosetodoing another album. Ahmet Ertegun passes and now they are doing just a one off show.
