Care to teach us a vocabulary word we should know? Care to enlighten us on some slang with which we may not be familiar? This is the thread for it!
I'll start with a piece of slang I learned in the 90's when reading the book, Will.
One prisoner says to another, "Man, you don't mess with ol' G. Gordon! He knows somethin' !"
"Knows something" is prison slang for, "posesses fighting skills".
Aren't you the guy who hit me in the eye?

Givin a chrome horn- a racing term- usually used to say you bumped another car out of the way. I also use it to say that I physically moved someone out of my way (not in a car).

"Nice shirt!" - this one has a little story attached.
We were at my parents house for Thanksgiving dinner, and there was a bad call during one of the football games, and the coach started jawing with the ref. Well, he said the f-bomb, and my sister said "Oh I know what he said!" and my son who was 5 at the time said "What did he say?"
I said "the coach told the ref he had a nice shirt on". So whenever you see a player, coach, etc say the f-bomb- in my family that translates to "Nice shirt!"
