I watched the 400m U.S. Men swim from behind to win the gold before I
went to bed Sunday night.
That was SO friggin' awesome. The French had 'em beat the whole race.
The U.S. anchor swimmer (Lazar?) was behind until the last 25 meters,
then he turned it on, caught up and won by a FINGERTIP.
The French anchor swimmer was such a baby. He just stood in the water
feeling sorry for himself, even though the French talked trash that they
would crush the Americans in that event.
On the plus side, the world record was smashed - even by the FRENCH
swimmer in a losing effort!
How silly is that?
Amazing, and a race for the Olympic history books.

And that boys and girls, is the reason I stick to the swimming and beach volleyball- there are hard and fast RULES with no judgements or politics clouding the proceedings....CygnusX1 wrote:U.S. Women gymnasts are getting the shitty end of the stick by way of aWalkinghairball wrote:I'm liking all the records and medals this time. And that one in Womens Gymnastics won by the North Korean on the Vault was bullshit. Even Bella was pissed off and crying over his of the judges.
