|
|
Greetings fellow Rush-o-philes,
I am a new member here, I love the site! I did a seach and posted in an older thread but haven't seen the answer yet so I thought I would start a new thread.
My brothers and I are playing the entire 2112 this summer at a gig in NY. I thought it would be supercool to have the sound effects to play through the PA at the key times. The synth at the begining is easy, we'll just play the song and turn it off when it's time to start, but what I am wondering is how to pull off extracting the other sound effects from the recording.
Specifically, what I am looking for is an audio file (or how to create one) with the voices at the end of The Grand Finale (ATTENTION ALL PLANETS OF THE SOLAR FEDERATION!!!!). Also, it would be cool to have the waterfall effect for Discovery, but that ending is the real key.
Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for helping!

I thought about that too...............Wouldn't the music be there also? Along with the band playing it? It would sound like ass if they were even slightly off....................... most likely distorted no matter what. |

In that case (and you're spot on HB), they should just record it themselves
like Alex and Ged did... (those two supposedly did it while messing around
with a tape recorder) _________________ Democrat leadership + liberal progressive media

I'm not claiming to be an audio expert but:
1) The intro - I would have thought that any ausio editing software would allow to you to get a reasonable edit of this part as it doesn't feature any other sounds.
2) The Waterfall - isn't there some sort of online sound library you could check?
3) The end - DIY is the only way I can see. _________________ 'Do not despise the snake for having no horns, for who is to say it will not become a dragon?' |
