Resist: Studio Acoustic Version

That's my idea. I bet it'd sound cool without Rio's audience there.

What do you think? This'd be cool for the next album.

i don't tink it works, would it be completely different if it was readily available without it being live?

I wouldn't be so sure of that, it's not a particularly difficult piece :P

Glad that at this point (4 votes) the "nos" have it (3 to 1). What made accoustic "Resist" so cool was A) it was very different B) it came right after the drum solo (excitement followed my mellowing...a sort of sweet and sour principle) C) it was live...and that is a totally different magic from studio magic. If they want to do more accoustic stuff, that would be cool, but don't do an accoustic studio remake of "Resist."

How about a Rush Unplugged album? A bunch of the more acoustic ones all the way back to Fly By Night. There could be all kinds of cool percussion, acoustic guitars and bass, Alex and Ged harmonizing vocals.
For the keyboard parts Al could hum into a kazoo

That would rock harder than anything I've heard before.
I remember watching in amazement as Geddy sang, played bass, and played the keyboards with his feet. I thought, "Who is this guy???"
