I'm amazed at how opposite you and I are in some respects and how identical in others. 8)

I just learned the hard way that Aerosmitten likes Dio.

Well, I like a few bands...

Pain of Salvation
Dream Theater
Porcupine Tree
Yes
Filter
Alice in Chains
Powerman 5000
Static-X
The Mars Volta
A Perfect Circle
Radiohead
Redman
Daft Punk
Duran Duran
Deftones
Hella
Mr. Bungle
Spock's Beard
Nirvana
Butthole Surfers
The Police

There's probably more, but yeah... those are the ones that matter anyway.
I never saw your face and now you're gone without a trace, except the trace of blood that's deeply scarred into my eyes to fill your place.

She does?

MAN! I never knew that!

She comes by it naturally, DCJ. I infected her with Dio before she was born. She has been to one of his gigs, but not 'Smith's, or even (shhhh!) Rush's!

I know you weren't asking me but I'll give you my impressions, though I've only heard one album.

Technical ability is excellent! But they're not as good at writing songs as Rush. Definitely worth a listen though.

If you were to buy one CD to check them out, I would strongly recommend IMAGES & WORDS. "Pull Me Under" is such a great song. The others are great also, but is the one I always tell people to check out first.
