I would keep Shaq too. I just thought those two cannot co-exist and if Kobe did not go, Shaq was going to demand a trade.

I think Shaq's primary problem is the departure of Phil Jackson. He obviously doesn't get along with Kobe that well, but they've won three championships together. Liking each other shouldn't matter. By not offering to extend Jackson's contract, and by Kupchak and Buss saying publically that resigning Kobe is the team's highest priority, I think Shaq feels disrespected and is lashing out.

I'm still hoping he'll find a way to stay.

and the rumor mill grinds.... I heard the Pacers are shopping Artest and trying to make a deal for T-Mac...
