YYZ. It's so ballsy and well-crafted, it's tight, and has tons of solos (Characteristics of a good instrumental), and such an awesome premise too. (The intro sequence beind morse code for "YYZ")
Wheels within whells, a spiral array
A pattern so grand and complex
Time after time, we loose sight of the way
Our causes can't see their effects

Yeah!

Y = -.--

Z = --..

The dashes are quarter notes and the dots are eighth notes, what wackos. :shock:

Do you think that was their way of calling the Rush Mobile? Sorta like the bat-light? :?
I remember watching in amazement as Geddy sang, played bass, and played the keyboards with his feet. I thought, "Who is this guy???"

Of course... But what would the Rushmobile look like? An episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force suggests it is a jet, shaped like a bass guitar and emblazoned with the Fly By Night owl.

ATHF had a Rushmobile?

Any screencaps of that available?

No, but power windows put up a video montage:

It's near the bottom of the page, look for the ATHF article, and the link within.

LVS, with YYZ as a close second.

La Villa Strangiato was one of the first Rush songs that really got my attention.

My favorite Rush instrumental is not what many of you would consider one.

It's the 5:15 to 8:37 SHRED in The Necromancer.

It just doesn't get old. Still kicks ass to this day.

Just this poster's humble opinion. :-D

I honestly am not sure what my favorite instrumental is, but I do agree with the "shred" mentioned above. Great stuff.

Agreed Elf. And the LVS "Spanish" (studio) intro is a WORKOUT. No wonder Lerxst's fret fingers are so frickin' huge. :lol:
