Bush has won the presidency for another term, and I hope that he'll do what's best for the country. I must congratulate Kerry though. Though he lost, at least he went out gracefully. More than can be said about ol' Gore. Thankfully, we didn't look like a whole bunch of jackasses again in front of
the entire world.

"Democracy's great!"

"Then why can't you have a successful election?"

"..."

Rant: Ended.

Got these funny quotes in the mail today. Thought a bit of levity might be good for us all.

"People tell me that Senator Edwards got picked for his good
looks, his sex appeal, and his great hair. I say to them,
'How do you think I got the job?'"
~Dick Cheney at the September 2004 Republican Convention~

"I just want to assure you that both President Bush and I have
very firm alibis."
~John Kerry after three Davenport, Iowa banks were robbed while
Kerry and Bush were campaigning in the city at the same time~

"I want to start by saying something nice about President Bush.
Of all the presidents we've had with the last name of Bush, his
economic plan ranks in the top two."
~John Kerry~

"I've been having problems with the right wing lately."
~John Kerry after undergoing surgery on his right shoulder~

"You may have noticed I have a few flaws, too. People sometimes
have to correct my English. I knew I had a problem when Arnold
Schwarzenegger started doing it."
~George Bush during his Republican Convention speech~

"It really gets me when the critics say I haven't done enough
for the economy," he said. "I mean, look what I've done for the
book publishing industry. You've heard some of the titles.
'Big Lies,' 'The Lies of George W. Bush,' 'The Lies and the
Lying Liars Who Tell Them.' I'd like to tell you I've read each
of these books, but that'd be a lie."
~George Bush at the White House Correspondents Dinner~

"The candidates are an interesting group, with diverse opinions
- for tax cuts and against them, for NAFTA and against NAFTA,
for the Patriot Act and against the Patriot Act, in favor of
liberating Iraq and opposed to it. And that's just one senator
from Massachusetts."
~George Bush~

"To listen to them, to stand up straight and not scowl."
~George Bush after being asked in the third presidential debate
what he learned from the women in his life~

"That answer almost made me want to scowl."
~George Bush during the second presidential debate, referring to
his exasperated facial expressions during the first debate~

"Did the training wheels fall off?"
~John Kerry after being told by reporters that President Bush
took a tumble during a bike ride~
