Limericks

Post by Devil's Advocate »

Wellllll........ if ya don't know that a limerick is, go and look it up. Now. Before reading any further.

edit
a limerick is a 5-line poem/doggerel with a rhyme pattern of AABBA, and a cadence like:
da-DA da-de-DA-da de-DUM
da-DA da-de-DA-da de-DUM
de-DA-da-de DOO
de-DA-da-de DOO
da-DA da-de-DA-da de-DUM!!!
Syllable counting takes second place to this cadence.
end of edit

Ok, now that we're all on the same page, let's get started. We're gonna take turns to contribute a single line to form a limerick. Whoever provides the last line, also supplies the first line of the next limerick.

In the interests of clarity, if you provide the concluding line, please also include the whole, completed limerick in your post.

'k? Good. Let's get started:

I don't have faith in faith, I don't believe in belief, You can call me faithless, I still cling to hope, And I believe in love, And that's faith enough for me... Neil Peart

When evil is allowed to compete with good, evil has an emotional populist appeal that wins out unless good men & women stand as a vanguard against abuse.
