It's a cool documentary entitled 'Metal: A Headbanger's Journey' and I'm d'lding it the now...
I tried to get my hubby to rent this for me and the video store had never even heard of it. I think it is supposed to be released this week though, and so maybe they will get it in and I can see it. *hopes*
I don't think it's out yet. I've got in my "queue" at blockbuster.com and it is showing as "coming soon."
BTW, if you have trouble finding stuff at the local video rental place, blockbuster.com or Netflix are great.

It wasnt as in-depth as I was expecting. The guy obviously favoured the whole black/death metal scene but any documentary that begins with 'Maiden and features Geddy as the first interviewee is ok in my book. The various sub genres were displayed in a cool family tree vibe with comments from Geddy, Ronnie James Dio, Bruce Dickinson, Tom Araya, Tony Iommi, Dee Snider, Lemmy and some extreme metal german twats. Nothing that we havent heard before with paticular empathis given to the whole Norwegian metal church burning thing. The LA glam era did make me chuckle but no real mention was made of the whole early 90's grunge thing (of which I'm a big fan) which is a shame.
7.5/10 .
ps: no disrespect meant towards germans in general, just the idiots in the doc.
