Pardon my french here y'all but ghad damn e-fukin-bonix!!!!

This is from an E-mail.

Do not be alarmed for today's youth...be very, VERY AFRAID.

How would you pronounce this child's name:

"Le-a"

Leah? NO.

Lee- A?? NOPE.

Lay- a?? NO.

Lei? Guess Again.

This child attends school in Detroit, MI. Her mother is irate because everyone is getting her name wrong.
It's pronounced 'Ledasha'.
When the mother was asked about the pronounciation of the name, she said, "The dash don't be silent."
SO, if you see something like this come across your desk, please remember to pronounce the dash.
If they axe you why, tell them the dash don't be silent.
I understand we (Americans) bastardized the English language many years ago, but why do we have to go along with and reward this kind of "Lingo"???

Guess I'm just a jive ass honkey.

So after 5 years at my current job, i found out
the woman I correct mistakes for cus she can't understand
the how's and why's of the only function she perfoms,
makes a good chunk of change more than me.
She's been here 3 years.

And we've been paying her 5 hrs a week OT cus she can't get the only function she performs done in 40 hours a week.

She follows notes everyday, and when an issue arises
and it comes
to thinking about the situation,
and deriving a solution
she sits there like
a deer in the headlights.

Are you kidding me?
I have to research her issues and
they drag me in to meetings
instead of her cus she
can't explain what she has done.

So she will never be reprimanded, and continue
to get good performance reviews.

Amazing.

I'm going to help extremely minimally from now on.
It may sound bad, but i feel if
she's gonna get credit and raises off of my help,
she should take some responsibility when she screws
up and have it noted in her reviews.

She's in her 50's and competent, but I think she's at a point where she wants, and now has, a job where she just clicks on things and follows notes and doesn't have to think.

So, I forgot my key this morning while leaving for church. I realized it while sitting in the sanctuary. I thought, "Nine out of ten times Dad's home. He'll be there".

Sharon, my Sunday school teacher (may God have mercy on her soul) brought me home. I told her I'd just sit on my porch swing until he returned home.

Ten minutes later, she returned. She went to Food City and bought me something to eat. The items were:

Two bottles of water
A box of blueberry Nutri-Grain bars
A box of Nutty bars
And a box of crackers

I'd mentioned them to her as foods I like several weeks before.

My dad came home about thirty minutes later. I told him about Sharon's act of kindness and he was angered. He took it as Sharon implying we were "needy". He said I could "call her and tell her to come get her G*****n food". That made me feel badly about it.

I still feel badly about it.

DAng MK, T4E, sounds like real shitholes there. I would just brush off your dad being an ass those T4, unforuntately for you MK, you can't fix stupid (believe me I've tried).

I just spend my weekend in great frustration learning to use Sonar 8 DAW and EZ drummer to make drum maps for recorded tracks. Mixing is a PITA, dang, have a song done, just need to make it an mp3 to get it properly hosted so all in all, I HATE DAWS! but I am sure it will get better with experience.

I don't know how long she thought I'd be waiting outside. I thought it was kinda weird, but kind. My guess is if she thought I was needy, I'd come home with food EVERY Sunday. That reason (charity) never crossed my mind.
