But none of them represent me although they say they do. The way they vote shows me they represent someone else.

Actually, my congressman was just barely voted in in the last election. He's been everything I could hope for and I want him to stick around. But my senators... I won't vote for them again. They've been okay since January, but they were terrible last fall.

I think all will agree that the following is incredibly interesting:

Top Ten Poorest Cities In The U.S.

City, State, and % of People Below the Poverty Level

1. Detroit, MI 32.5%

2. Buffalo, NY 29.9%

3. Cincinnati, OH 27.8%

4. Cleveland, OH 27.0%

5. Miami, FL 26.9%

5. St. Louis, MO 26.8%

7. El Paso, TX 26.4%

8. Milwaukee, WI 26.2%

9. Philadelphia, PA 25.1%

10. Newark, NJ 24.2%

(U.S. Census Bureau, 2006 American Community Survey, August 2007)

Now dig this:

What do the top ten cities (over 250,000) with
the highest poverty rate all have in common?

Detroit, MI (1st on the poverty rate list) hasn't elected a Republican
mayor since
1961
;

Buffalo, NY (2nd) hasn't elected one since 1954;

Cincinnati, OH (3rd)...since 1984;

Cleveland, OH (4th)...since 1989;

Miami, FL (5th) has never had a Republican mayor;

St. Louis, MO (6th)....since 1949;

El Paso, TX (7th) has never had a Republican mayor;

Milwaukee, WI (8th)...since 1908;

Philadelphia, PA (9th)...since 1952;

Newark, NJ (10th)...since 1907.

Einstein once said, "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over
and over again and expecting different results.'"

It is the poor who habitually elect Democrats---yet they are still POOR.

"You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot strengthen
the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot bring about prosperity by
discouraging thrift. You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the
wage payer down. You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting
class hatred. You cannot build character and courage by taking away
people's initiative and independence. You cannot help people
permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for
themselves."

Oklahoma passed HB 1330, 37 to 9, with a few liberals in the mix - an
amendment to place the Ten Commandments on the front entrance to
the State Capitol.

The feds in D.C., along with the ACLU, said it would be a mistake.

Hey - this is a conservative state, based on Christian values...

Oklahoma passed it anyway.

Oklahoma recently passed a law in the state to incarcerate all illegal
immigrants, and ship them back to where they came from - unless they
want to get a green card and become an American citizen.
(HB 1804.)

They all scattered. Hope we didn't send any of them to your state.

This was against the advice of the Federal Government and the ACLU,
as they both said it would be a mistake.

Oklahoma passed it anyway.

Recently, Oklahoma passed a law to include DNA samples from any
and all illegals to the Oklahoma database, for criminal investigative
purposes. (SB 1102)

Madam Pelosi said it was unconstitutional.

Oklahoma passed it anyway.

Several weeks ago, we passed a law, HJR 1003, declaring Oklahoma
as a sovereign state, not under the Federal Government directives,
joining Texas, Montana and Utah as the only states to do so.

More states likely to follow: Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, the Carolinas,
Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, West Virginia, Mississippi and
Florida.

Save your confederate money, it appears the South is about to rise up
once again.

Oklahoma passed it anyway.

The federal government has taken bold steps to take away our guns.

Oklahoma, a week ago, passed a law confirming people in this state have
the right to bear arms and transport them in their vehicles.
I'm sure that
was a setback for the criminals.

Our Government didn't like it ....But:

Oklahoma passed it anyway.

By the way, the U.S. Government does not like any of this.

Guess what? Who cares....

Oklahoma passed them anyway.

The wife and I were watching Fox News last night, and just for fun, we
decided to switch the channel over to BSNBC to check out the
Rachel Maddow Show for a serving of far left bias, and it was yummy.

NO mention of ACORN whatsoever. Lots of stuff about "8 percent of
conservatives in NJ think Obongo is the antichrist" and useless info like
that, but not one word about ACORN.

BSNBC is the absolute pits. :angry7:

And what on earth are they basing this accusation on?!!?!? Conservatives wonder why they are not being taken seriously by the liberals? It isn't that I don't believe in the anti-Christ but oh dear. I don't want to call myself a conservative anymore. Too many items like this in the news tainting the meaning.

Personally, I don't think Obongo is the antichrist. But I do know that somebody is going to be.

The big surprise here?the group of voters most likely to think Obama is the Anti-Christ are ? Hispanics, who solidly backed Obama in 2008. Only 58 percent of them say, for sure, that their president is not Satan come to wreak havoc here on earth.
Why does that strike me so funny?

Uh....Because of the futile attempts by Rachel Maddow (and the far left) to
change the subject and act like nothing's going on?

'In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language.. and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.'
-Theodore Roosevelt 1907
