actually they're pulling down a lot of the old buildings now..does my nut in!...although the tower/monument you see in that pic wont get torn down as that's Wallace's Monument...the hill that it stands on is Abbey Craig...this is where Wallace watched the English approach Stirling Bridge then led his army down the hill to defeat the english in the Battle of Stirling Bridge....the tower itself isnt that old...it was built in 1869
