I'm mainly referring to his by the numbers version of Somebody to Love at the FM tribute which I think was almost as passionless as Lisa Stansfield doing I Want to Break Wind.

He may have put some feeling into his earlier stuff butlately, it seems like he's just going through the motions.

As to his talent, I agree that, on a purely technical level, there are few to beat him. However, technical ability isn't enough. I'd much rather hear music by someone who is less technically gifted if the raw emotion and feel for the music is there.

I've just got hold of a boot of the Yokohama gig from the tour and its pretty good in my opinion.
