He's a simply amazing guitarist, as well an incredible (and incredibly unconventional) songwriter as well. You must listen to some of his stuff, especially if you consider yourself a fan of great progressive rock already.

Nick D'Virgillio's playing drums...does that mean Spock's Beard is truly on the shelf?

Definitely not, he has always been involved in many different projects. I doubt that they'll be "on the shelf" at any point in the near future. :)

He did play on that tour. I was sorry he isn't currently playing with Vai.

Yeah, I've got a vid that includes him with Vai. He was remarkable.

I need to check out his solo stuff...

Rather interesting but the one minute minute sample of thirty tracks is a ridicuous way to hear a new band. I will have a geeky look for something a little more whole. Thanks for the heads up.

I have a bootleg of him playing live with his band Beer for Dolphins at The Baked Potato.

It's awesome stuff, some of the best jazz fusion you'll ever hear. He has a great sense of humor, but can also write some very poignant and heartfelt songs.

And he plays a mean guitar too!

This shows problems with the music scene in the future!
