Hey gang,

After just hearing Rush on my local classic rock station on a "two for Tuesday", I was wondering what Rush songs do you typically hear on your local station?

Around here it is only:

The Spirit of Radio
Fly By Night
Tom Sawyer
Closer to the Heart
Freewill
One Little Victory

Rarely
Red Barchetta
Subdivisions
New World Man

Well, there are two stations here that play Rush, and here's how it boils down...

The classic rock station (WBLM) will play:

"Tom Sawyer"
"The Spirit of Radio"
"Closer to the Heart"
"Limelight"
"Freewill"
"Subdivisions"
"Fly By Night"
"The Trees" (not often)
"Working Man" (ditto)

The metal station (WTOS) will play all those, plus get more adventurous:

"Overture/Temples of Syrinx"
"The Camera Eye"
"Bastille Day"
"YYZ"
"Test for Echo"
"Marathon"
"Scars"
"Red Barchetta"
"Where's My Thing?" (this one can also be heard in the background during the station news/weather reports)
"Driven"
"Ghost Rider"
ect...ect...

Both stations will play the current single of whatever Rush album had just been released, as with "Stick It Out", "Test for Echo", and "One Little Victory"...though WBLM returns to the "same old same old" rotation of overplayed Rush songs quite quickly ("One Little Victory" was only on their playlist for two weeks!!).

Well our local radio station (Radio Mansfield) has a 3.30 pm section called the Rock Slot in which, believe it or not, they play a rock track. Most of the time its pretty predictable (Layla, I Want to Break Free, Living on a Prayer, etc) but, once in a while, they dig out something a little different.

About a year ago we got Spirit of Radio (twice) and Bastille Day.
