Here we go - Fave Rush album

Post by Perplexia »

Alright, we know the sales stats for the albums and such but among Rush fans, let's get some ideas. (I'm sure this has been done before but I'm not gonna search for it.) I'll start off: Despite the controversy over the "sub-standard mastering" I go with Vapor Trails, hands down. 8)

Mving Pictures - not just Rush's finest hour but the greatest rock album of all time and featuring Red Barchetta, the greatest song ever written

Too tough a ques. It changes over the years and even days! I will NEVER say Moving Pictures.

It was too much of a "given" for me (this is my own opinion). I had them as monsters in my soul BEFORE they put that out so... it's tough btw....well...crap Vapor Trails comes to mind but I will vote for the one that touched me most at the time it came out, OK?

Permanent Waves. 8)

You can do that in message, but unfortunately it won't work on the poll. You could tell us your top 5, then narrow it down to two. :thumbleft:

Vapor Trails and Presto, maybe, but I don't really wanna chose a favorite album. They're too close to take one.

Deserted Island.

If I have to pick only 1 Rush album to listen on a deserted island, it's Moving Pictures, a close second is Permanent Waves.

My actual favorite is Exit...Stage Left, but it wasn't listed. I tossed a vote to A Farewell to Kings instead, since it's my current favorite of the studio albums, but this changes all the time. A week from now my answer would probably be different.

Always was, still is, and always will be 2112. Moving Pictures comes a close second.

so far. . .

Post by Perplexia »

hmm. . .

well, looks like 2112's taking the lead so far, but it's not like there's a lot of opinions represented here. We'll have to give it more time and more posts. Come on, people! Enter your fave album in the poll! Be honest, don't be shy!
