HUH??
21 points allowed (and one of those TD's was not a catch)
288 total yards
254 passing
34 rushing
2 turnovers
2 QB sacks
4-11 third down conversions
New England TOP 23:19
I would say the defense is right where it needs to be...
I did not know you could challenge when a team goes for two. somebody needs to let Bill know. great call on the onside kick too. Many desperate teams have tried it before.

I think he realized that it was of no use to kick it deep and try to hold them. We had no chance of holding them. We had momentum, and if we got the onside kick, the way we marched down the field for the 2 scores and fumble, he figured it would continue.
Everyone around here this morning thinks it was a bad time to do it.
Like I said they would have been where they got the kick in three plays anyway.
Was he challenging the catch for the TD?
I had our local radio team on my headphones and muted Madden.
They were confused.
I think Bill was pissed Dungy (classlessly) opted to go for 2.
There was no way we were gonna score 21 unanswered point and win by 1, if he kicked the point.
The better team won, and we knew it would going in.
I'm glad we kept it that close (though the score didn't indicate that it was really over at 21-7.)

I thought going for 2 was a good call... see MNF 2003 Tampa V Colts 35-14 with 5 minutes left... anything can happen... I must admit I would have like to gone for 2, do an onside kick and ram the ball back down NE's throat. but I am still bitter over things I thought were classless... ie faking injuries to slow down another teams momentum.

Yeah I guess McGuinest's move was Bush league.
But the Tampa/Colts game had the better offensive team that could come back behind. Not last night's.
Doesn't matter who played, the demons are gone from Foxboro for Indy.
Now people up here are mad Brady didn't take any questions after the game. Bill gave his non responsive responses, admitting they beat us up good.
What was Dungy's reaction?

Hey Soup...Got four words for ya: HOW 'BOUT THEM COLTS!!! I dug that game SO much, I was late for work from watching the whole thing...I think the worm has finally turned, and this is--indeed--the year of THE HORSE!!!
PS- Sorry MK, I know you were rooting for them, but the torch HAS to be passed sooner or later, and I think that the Colts are gonna be the next AFC dynasty...Now, if we can j-u-s-t get past Pittsburg, Indy's gonna be MONEY!
Peace,
Cygnus

You don't have to apologize.
I don't mind the celebrating.
If we were 100%, I'd say it was a torch passing.
I would have to believe we will be back next year
when our 4 secondary men will be healthy and playing
together, and not this patchwork use of backups.
I'm surprised people are frustrated up here.
It was easy to see what was going to happen.
We still have the East wrapped up too, then we
can get our first playoff loss in a long time.

Nah dude.....Soup4Rush wrote:#3 defense in the league... I thought you were a Giants fan.
I stayed outta NY as far as football goes. I grew up watching the Bears w/my uncle and have been a fan since.
Now I am a Yankee and Ranger fan so I do have allegiance to some NY teams.
