OVERHAUL SET LIST FOR NEXT TOUR

Post by white-haired uncle »

I started this subject in the (will they tour again) post.

"So", allow me to elaborate.

There set list over last several tours has become very predictable, they need to start retiring songs and add different ones, an example of this is
"Between the wheels" that is a great song to play live. Rush fans will see
the band play on every tour, sometimes multiple times during a tour so it becomes more prevalent of the redundancy within the set list. Here is a list of some songs i think should be put on the shelf and replaced with songs that will give the set list a refreshing change.

ROLL THE BONES
LIMELIGHT
BRAVADO
RED SECTOR A
DREAMLINE
LEAVE THAT THING ALONE
NATURAL SCIENCE
2112
DRIVEN

THATS ALL FROM THE "UNCLE"

"DEVIATE FROM THE NORM"

Great ideas!!! I agree with the deletions, Cygnus.

Even though Natural Science is like just about my fave song I'd go with both suggestions. (You guys can have Kathy Ireland, no problem...I'll just be taking in Geddy :-D Besides, she's a lot better looking than Frank Costanza!!! )

Cold Fire in concert! Yeah baby! I'd still like to see more VT in your set list MK.

Yeah, I doubt they'd play anything from VT they haven't done.
I'm thinking OLV is tough on them too.
Ghost Rider would probably stay, which is fine.

I'm sure all those oldies I picked won't make it, but you never know!

Cool set list Uncle!

I was really let down on RIR, when they did 2112 two octaves lower....what a bummer! I almost thought the DVD was dragging!

I say that, if they can't do it at the same level of intensity they put into the album version(s), then DROP IT!!

Then, they could add an old nugget they HAVEN'T DONE IN A WHILE....Say, "Rivendell", or "I think I'm Going Bald" (that's fitting hahaha) or something....yaknow?
