Rush Christmas music

Post by Walkinghairball »

If Rush was to cover a Christmas tune, what would you suggest it to be?

My pick is obvious...............................The little drummer boy. :-D

I'd like their interpretation of the full orchestra "Sleigh Ride" or hear Geddy wail out "Silent Night" (but that may be conflict of interest ;) )

Ooh Ooh! I got it...and acoustic version of "Silver Bells" (sigh at Ged's voice)

Oh, and Soup. LMFAO too!

Foyst time I heard Alex's Little Drummer Boy was a couple years ago by accident when my Dad was trying to get a problem handled with HIS home compooter. The guy in IT at the hospital where my Dad worked as a surgeon helped him (he knows naaating about compooters, my Dad) and he mentioned to the guy that I worked on computers and I liked Rush.

WELL, HELL!!! The guy (in his thirties) as it turned out was a Rush fan and went bononkers at finding a Rush fan (as I would when I find someone) and insisted he send it to me. What a blissful tune, and me so starved for stuff at that time a couple years ago.

Schu, you are a gem for offering it. Merry MERRY to you. :-D

Everyone, PM Schu! NOW!

I got it for Christmas last year. I have been playing that CD over and over and over so much, Eagz has started playing Christmas songs on his guitar when he is playing around.

I would like to hear them do Silent Night. I would also like to hear them do Light One Candle, although that is a different holiday, albeit beginning on the same day this year.
Onward and Upward!
