Bjork

Post by Ogg »

I've been mostly listening to Bjork of late and am wondering if there are any other fans here?

Isn't she weird?

Just kidding! :-D Doesn't Geddy like her stuff?

Yes I do believe our lord Ged is a fan. I think you'll find Bjork's has a little more to offer than plain weirdness though. I'd give the greatest hits thing a go RL, features her more accessible tunes, broaden your mind...

Bjork is very weird. That's part of what makes her special.

Debut, Homogenic, and Vespertine are three of my favorite albums ever. Post and Medula have their moments too, but those other three are classics.

I'm still looking to pick up the Sugercubes albums. I hear they're very different, something like Icelandic post-punk.

I haven't listened to a whole lot of Bjork- I can't even name any specific songs at the moment- but I just love her whole style. She's just different from everybody else. And she has the most gorgeous voice, too- it's almost otherwordly. In fact, I think I'll go listen to some Bjork right now...

yep...she wore it...and got SCADS of grief over it too if I remember correctly....Mad TV did a spoof of her with it on too...But WAIT...There's MORE!...

Recently, on VH1's "100 Greatest Metal Moments", they talked about Faith No More's video with the fish flopping around....Anyway, it turns out that one of the guys in the band knew Bjork, and was supposedly "fish sitting" when that video was shot....but wait...THERE's MORE...

Needless to say, when Bjork saw the video, she threw a fit when she approached about it...BUT WAIT...There's MORE....

And yes(if you're wondering), the fish died...IknowIknow...

THAT'S JUST WRONG!!! :(
Don't start none...won't be none.
