Ok last night i couldn't get my DVD rom to work, before this the cd drive that was in the spot also did not work. The guy who built my computer, had both drives on slave whent hey are both running off one IDE port.. damn him, it was that simple, all i had to do was make the DVD rom a master and bam, it works, nothing to it... I hate when people do a half asses job.. makes more work for me.. so in my triumph i sat down and enjoyed RIR for the first time being as i just acquired it.

is it a dvd rom drive or a dvd rom/dvd burning drive?

just dvd rom the burning ones cost alot of money

Bah, you just need to know where to shop. There's quite a few places you can get them for under $100

You don't actually order from them. All Pricewatch does is monitor different places for their prices. But I have ordered from places listed on Pricewatch without any problems.
