Yes, all the issues are separated. We have these electronic computer-style machines. I hope they are working properly. Seemed to.

I voted too, but our county does it all by mail. We have different issues over here that we were voting for, and in the town they have some that we in the outlying areas didn't.

All of us in the county voted for people to fill offices, whether to continue the death tax or not, things like that, and in the town they also get to vote about whether to build a new pool.

Vote early, vote often!!!

I'll be going in after work too.

I understand that in my county the new machines were all down this morning. People who showed up when the polls opened were being told to go away and come back later. Crazy!

I also hear in the news that there's this tiny county in my state that has 947 registered voters. Problem with that number is, it's larger than the entire population of the county in 2005! :D

It?s a great day in America. Just because an election doesn?t go the way I?d hoped doesn?t mean I?m not grateful for our freedom to vote and to choose. America got what it wanted. And to me, that makes it a great day.

When we were kids our coaches told us how to win graciously and how not to be poor sports when we lost. When we lost, we congratulated the other team and walked off the field with dignity. We were not to whine and cry about how we had the game stolen from us (I guess Al Gore never had a coach). Then, when we had our next practice, we focused on what we did wrong and worked on improving ourselves.

That?s where the republicans need to go now? to take a look in the mirror and see what they did wrong.

But for today, congratulations to the winners! God bless America!

Right on, Elfie. What a guy.

Working together might even make all this madness work...maybe.

God Bless us ALL.

The fact that he won shows me that the election results are not a "refferendum on the war in Iraq" as all the newspapers are saying. Lieberman's is a very blue state. And the democrats there ran an anti-war candidate and he went down in flames.

I think this was all about the republicans selling out the people that gave them the majority in '94.
