We could be in Japan. Guns are illegal period there. (Still don't stop the bad guy's from using them). And lately, they have been hacking people up with Samurai Swords.
After doing extensive research on many different country's gun laws, it's obvious to me that over a period of time the death rate and crime would go down significantly, not all together of course there is still going to be your unstable folks. I find it kind of peculiar that Canada has millions of guns but their crime rate is very, very low, people even leave their doors unlocked.
Partly to blame is the media / hollywood, our economic conditions not taking care of the poor and down trodden, and many more factors to consider. Drugs being a big economic factor too.
We don't even have the heat of the summer yet, when tempers tend to flair.
