I looked at the vids.

I have heard the "Running up that hill" song before. I liked the barbarian chick outfit in Babooshka. Man she has a high voice.

And not a bit hard to look at.

Nice, thanks for the education chums. :-D :-)

Actually, I am serious about Wilma. She really was chief.

And when this indian daydreams, it sure ain't about Chief Mankiller!

I love Kate Bush. Beautiful genius trapped in the body of a model.

No seriously. She writes her own music and lyrics, choreographs her own dance steps, designs her own wardrobe and stage sets, directs her own videos, programs her own synths, produces her own albums, and plots her own musical arrangements. It's the work of a megalomaniac, but she does it very damned well. If Kate Bush reminds you of anyone, it's because she's influenced just about every artistically-inclined female singer/songwriter from the past 25 years. Tori Amos? Sarah McLaughlin? Suzanne Vega? Tracy Bonham? Bj?rk? Laurie Anderson? Imogen Heep? Jane Sibbery? Laura Cantrell?

They're all Kate fans.

Not that it matters.

*googles Otep*

*drools*

Hey I AM a lesbian also!

EDIT- Ah yes I was right, thanks Roc, the vintage synth board is teaching me a lot. Jane Child played a Fairlight III in 1990- but I didn't know Kate played one.

Best to keep this here, having already raised this in the usless nonsense thing for some inexpicable reason.

Am I the only one disappointed with the long awaited 'Aerial' album?
What is your fav KB album?

In order of preference
1 The Kick Inside
2 Lionheart
3 Never Forever
4 The Dreaming
5 The Hounds of Love
6 Sensual World
7 Aerial
8 The Red Shoes

You came out of the night,
Wearing a mask in white colour.
My eyes were shining
On the wine, and your aura.
All in order, we move into the boudoir,
But too soon the morning has resumed.

I'm hanging on the Old Goose Moon.
You look like an angel,
Sleeping it off at a station.
Were you only passing through?

I'm dying for you just to touch me,
And feel all the energy rushing right up-a-me.
L'amour looks something like you.

The thought of you sends me shivery.
I'm dressed in lace, sailing down a black reverie.
My heart is thrown
To the pebbles and the boatmen.
All the time I find I'm living in that evening,
With that feeling of sticky love inside.

I'm hanging on the Old Goose Moon.
You look like an angel,
Sleeping it off at a station.
Were you only passing through?

I'm dying for you just to touch me,
And feel all the energy rushing right up-a-me.
L'amour looks something like you.

I don't think it's terrible, but it would have been much stronger if she'd cut out Bertie, and trimmed the epic from disc 2 down to about ten or fifteen minutes. It's much too long, witch huge stretches that accomplish nothing and go nowhere.

For me:

1.) Hounds of Love
2.) The Dreaming
3.) Never Forever
4.) The Kick Inside
5.) The Red Shoes
6.) Aerial
7.) The Sensual World
8.) Lionheart
