Today's Headlines (outside of politics)

WCVB dot com:
BOSTON -- Former students who attended Framingham State College were miffed recently after they received a fundraising letter that repeated the word "blah" 137 times.

The school said the Sept. 5 letter was an attempt to inject a little 20-something humor into an effort to raise money for its Legacy Fund, but some of the 6,000 graduates who received the missive said they didn't find it funny at all.

"With the recent economic downturn and loan crisis, it has become even more important for Framingham State College to receive your support. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah," reads the letter, which was signed by the president of the school's alumni association.

The college's advancement office apologized, saying the letter's attempt at humor was misguided. They said they were trying to connect with younger recent grads. They also acknowledged that the letter was not approved by FSC's communications department before it was sent out, according to the MetroWest Daily News.

They did say, however, that school had collected about $2,000 from nearly 40 alumni who had never donated to the school before.

Some alumni said they found the letter insulting, unprofessional and ridiculous.
And these almuni never got laid during college, either.

Arson, I don't get that. I get starting a fire by accident, but on purpose when it may harm and dislodge people, destroy other's property, et cetera? That I do not get.

Victoria Beckham Is Newest Armani Underwear Model
ROME (AP) ― Underwear ads apparently run in the family.

Fashion icon Victoria Beckham is the spokeswoman for the new Armani fashion house lingerie line -- following in the footsteps of husband David Beckham, who also appeared in the fashion house's underwear campaign.

The company said Friday that Beckham will debut in the spring-summer 2009 advertising campaign of Emporio Armani women's underwear.

Giorgio Armani called the former "Posh Spice" of the Spice Girls a "style icon, a dynamic lady whose influence and recognition will add great excitement" to the ad campaign.

David Beckham has just agreed to move to Milan, Italy's fashion capital, on a three-month loan to AC Milan starting in January.
If she put 10 pounds on this would be good news.
