I hadn't heard of it until you posted it here. It's not been on Yahoo or any of the Google news sites I visit. Most interesting and I wonder why it hasn't.

Dude, I don't even know what the Daily KOS is or stands for. I did a google search for the story (which I've seen and heard on every news channel, including Fox) and that was the first one I clicked on.

Daily Kos is a far-left fish wrap that hates anything conservative,
republican, independent, self-reliant or free-thinking.

Dude - We appreciate you NOT knowing about it!

(now THIS^^^ [read: Owl] is a well-respected democrat.)

Rock on. :-D

Yeah, I hate sites like that. No time for a one-sided opinion. I'll be sure to avoid that one in particular. A friend of mine sends me some funny stuff from the Democratic Underground from time-to-time, but that one is also biased as a bi-assed ass. :-D

And thanks for the respect! Me likey.

Cool. My brother works for the IRS, and apparently there is a Bush shoe-
throwing game circulating through e-mails now.

Although my brother is a democrat, it's a blatant poke at Bush (and quite
fun from what I've been told - I haven't tried it yet), and I told him it
would be "more funner" if another person....(say.... Rosie O'Donnell? ) was
the mark. LOL

And now, for your far-left/tin-foil-hat-wearin'/ entertainment pleasure:

Ashley Judd goes all PETA on Sarah!

You're gonna love this. I did.

Ashley Judd: Clown in Wolf Guardian's Clothing

by Michelle Malkin

Actress Ashley Judd has finally earned her Hollywood stripes and provided
award-winning comic relief.

With Washington poised to shove a trillion-dollar "stimulus" pork pie down
our throats, we need all the distractions we can get.

I give Judd's unintentionally entertaining performance in a new Sarah
Palin-bashing animal rights ad two diversionary thumbs up.

The Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund sponsored the YouTube video
starring Judd. They've dubbed their campaign, launched this week:

"Eye on Palin." ***snickers at this*** - Cyg

With all the serious, socially responsible celebrity earnestness she could
muster, Judd decried the aerial hunting of wolves in Alaska, the GOP
governor's state.

"It is time to stop Sarah Palin and stop this senseless savagery," Judd
intoned.

***heeheeheeheehee*** - Cyg

Casting herself as an environmental expert, Judd attacked Palin
for "casting aside science and championing the slaughter of wildlife."

The video shows a wolf being shot, writhing in pain, with an ominous
soundtrack throbbing and menacing photos of Palin flashing across the
screen.

***gotta get that "shock factor" across without explaining the OTHER
side of the issue, a typical far-left liberal tactic.*** - Cyg

"Riddled with gunshots, biting at their backs in agony, they die
(pause for quiver) a brutal death," Judd enunciates slowly - as wolf
squeals punctuate the video.

Defenders of Wildlife assails Gov. Palin for proposing a $150 bounty for
every wolf killed by aerial hunters.

She's cruel and bloodthirsty, and she must be stopped!

It's a compelling black-and-white storyline.

But like the world Judd inhabits, this plot is make-believe.

Fact is, the policy is intended to protect other animals -- moose and
caribou -- from overpopulation of wolves. Alaskans rely on caribou
and moose for FOOD.

(Not all Americans care to live on environmentally correct starlet diets of
tofu salad and Pinkberry yogurt.)

Neither Palin nor the aerial hunters in those scary low-flying planes that
have Judd quivering promote the program out of malice and animal
insensitivity.

On the contrary, they are the true compassionate conservationists. The
bounty helped state biologists collecting wolf age data and provided
incentives to reduce the wolf population when wildlife management
efforts had fallen behind.

(This is about predator control. But to liberal, gun-control zealots
thousands of miles away, it's all heartless murder.)

Federal law makes specific exceptions to aerial hunting for the protection
of "land, water, wildlife, livestock, domesticated animals, human life or
crops."

Targets are not limited to wolves. And, as Alaska wildlife officials note, the
process is tightly controlled and "designed to sustain wolf populations in
the future."

***Tree-huggers simply cannot and will not embrace this truth - or the
fact that HUNTERS provide the lions' share of wildlife funding through
license/permit fees, hunting equipment and ammunition taxes. It's
true...it's DAMN true.*** - Cyg

No matter. As Judd proclaimed, "It is time to stop Sarah Palin."

***STOP SARAH PALIN BEFORE SHE KILLS AGAIN!*** LMAO - Cyg

That is the true aim of left-wing lobbying groups and their allies in
Hollywood.

Palin is a threat not to Alaska's wolves, but to the liberal establishment's
wolves.
Defenders of Wildlife isn't targeting the ads in states affected
by these policies!

They're running the Judd-fronted ads across battleground states.

It's about electoral interests, not wildlife interests.

The eco-Kabuki theater is just plain laughable.

On a deadly serious note, Judd's selective concern for savagery is not lost
on longtime observers of the activist entertainer's political forays.

A militant, pro-choice feminist, Judd lashed out at the Republican
ticket during the campaign:

"[A] woman voting for McCain and Palin is like a chicken voting for
Colonel Sanders."

Yet, not a peep has been heard from Judd about the serial predators of
Planned Parenthood - who have been caught on tape urging young girls to
cover up statutory rape to facilitate abortion procedures.

***I smell another double-standard! Nope - wait - that was a fart.*** - Cyg

And she won't be starring in any YouTube ads decrying grisly late-term
abortion procedures.

In a starlet's world, "senseless savagery" only applies to the poster pet
of the month.

Planned Parenthood Cashes in on Sarah Palin

Image

You remember Sarah Palin. She's the one that said, "I'd oppose abortion even if my daughter was raped."

Planned Parent is cashing in on Sarah Palin as the VP nominee for the Republican Party. John McCain?s running mate, Sarah Palin has been a ?vocal opponent of abortion,? so pro-choice folks are ponying up to make a statement about Palin?s nomination by donating to Planned Parenthood in her name:

?Make a donation to Planned Parenthood,? the anonymous e-mail message urged. ?Of any amount. In Sarah Palin?s name.?

The message, which began circulating widely on the Internet last week, had one more instruction: request that the personalized thank-you card from Planned Parenthood be sent to Ms. Palin, the Republican vice-presidential nominee and a vocal opponent of abortion, at the McCain-Palin campaign headquarters in Virginia.

So far, the scheme seems to be getting a strong response. As of Friday, Planned Parenthood had taken in $1million in donations from 40,000 people, said a spokesman for the organization, Tait Sye. More than two-thirds of the individuals are first-time donors to Planned Parenthood, Mr. Sye said, and money came in from all 50 states.

Two thoughts on that post:

First:

If she's "donated" a million bucks to Planned Parenthood - she should be
on the friggin' Board! I mean....that's how the Board got in, right? LOL

Second:

If she "donated" a million bucks to Planned Parenthood....
Her tax refund is gonna be HUMONGOUS!

Something tells me she has grounds for a big, dag-nasty lawsuit, but I
could be wrong.

Planned Parenthood Donations Statement
in Response to Reports

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE No. 09-27

Governor Issues Statement on Planned Parenthood Donations

February 11, 2009, Juneau, Alaska - Governor Sarah Palin today issued
the following statement in response to reports that contributions are
being made to Planned Parenthood in her name:

?The abortion issue has been with us for decades and has pitted well-
meaning people of differing ideologies against each other. Where we can
find common ground is in the belief that no one wants a single abortion.

?But when there is a clash of values, I always will come down on the side
of life. Making donations to Planned Parenthood in my name might be
interesting theater in these politically charged times, but it is not going to
change my views or the views of many other Alaskans who believe every
life is precious.

?Anti-hunting groups are employing the same tactic of using my name to
promote their cause right now. Again, interesting theater.?

Palin, Letterman, and the Double Standard About Double Standards

We all heard it. Sarah Palin on the Today show with Matt Lauer...

After a brief discussion of the gas line that glossed over Alaska's new unholy alliance with its old foe Exxon, the topic changed.

Lauer: Can we talk about some of the other ways you've been in the news lately, and you know about this. There's been this feud this week with Late Show...

Palin: (interrupting) If we must...

Lauer: I know.... But there's been a feud this week with David Letterman about some comment he made...

They go on to discuss the issue. Then at 3:37 in the interview, something interesting happened. Palin looks down at the Blackberry she is holding in her hand.

Palin: Let me read to you something that I received in the middle of the night, an email I received from somebody who's not a (dismissive hand wave) known feminist, not someone who is an activist, but this I think speaks to the issue.
She then reads the letter.

If we are led to believe by Palin that she really doesn't want to talk about Letterman... that she'd much rather be talking about the gas line, and only talks about Letterman "if we must," then why does she have a Blackberry in her lap all set up with an email on the screen ready to be read aloud, the subject of which is... David Letterman? Palin was totally prepared and ready to talk on the subject, but took the opportunity to paint the picture that Lauer was the one bringing it up, much to her feigned dismay.

In another lesson on how you can be right in principle (yes, the joke was tasteless and inappropriate as Letterman admitted) and still totally blow it (yes, the Palins now look even worse than Letterman), here's how she reacted when Lauer asked about the statement issued by her spokeswoman Meg Stapleton:

Lauer: (reading) "The Palins have no intention of providing a ratings boost for David Letterman by appearing on his show. Plus, it would be wise to keep Willow away from David Letterman." I'd like you to explain what that meant. Are you suggesting that David Letterman can't be trusted around a 14-year old girl?

Palin: Hey, take it however you want to take it...

So if we "want to take it " that she thinks David Letterman is a pedophile, that's OK with her? Lauer gets this, and follows up.

Lauer: But is that not, in fact, in bad taste also governor if you're... if you're suggesting that a 62-year old man can't be trusted...
Palin: It's not in bad taste. It's not in bad taste.

(pause)

Palin: Hey, maybe he couldn't be trusted because Willow's has had enough of this type of comments. Maybe Willow would want to...uh....uh...uh..react to him in a way that..uh...would catch him off guard. That's one way to interpret such a comment.

In her clumsy attempt to justify this comment, she basically ends up implying that Willow is the one who can't be trusted to act appropriately.

Then she goes on to talk about the "real problem," the oft used Palin talking point -- the double standard.

The problem is... Here's the problem, Matt. It's the double standard that's been applied here. [snip] ...remember in the campaign, Barack Obama said "Family's off limits. You don't talk about my family, and 'the candidate who must be obeyed'....everybody adhered to that, and they did leave his family alone, and they haven't done that on the other side of the ticket, and it has continued to this day. So that's a political double standard.
Since somehow, Barack Obama got dragged into the drama, just for clarity, I looked up his quote from the campaign about families being off-limits, so we can examine this supposed double standard. Here it is:

I have heard some of the news on this and so let me be as clear as possible. I have said before and I will repeat again, I think people's families are off limits, and people's children are especially off limits. This shouldn't be part of our politics, it has no relevance to Governor Palin's performance as a governor or her potential performance as a vice president. And so I would strongly urge people to back off these kinds of stories. You know my mother had me when she was 18. And how family deals with issues and teenage children that shouldn't be the topic of our politics and I hope that anybody who is supporting me understands that is off limits
.
So, in reality, where most of us live, Obama was actually defending her family specifically.

Now that we've cleared that up, let's have a little thought experiment. Let's just suppose that someone had asked David Letterman if, when he told that joke, he meant to insinuate that Willow Palin has promiscuous sex with older men, and he had said, "Hey, take it however you want to take it."

You know... since we're talking about double standards.

I think it was a joke. A joke that might not have been meant to insinuate anything other than a laugh. It bombed big time, and was a success all at the same time. Is he a pedeophile..................nawh.

I think the media made this bigger than it had to be. Does either of them need either of them to make their career better...............not a chance.

I don't see Dave being political. Granted he is bashing a political figures kid, but I don't think it falls under what the President was saying.

I saw one of the vids of Dave appologizing for his inappropriate insinuative jokes......................he really isn't as sorry for saying them as he is they didn't deliver better. I don't think he is too sorry for that. I do believe whole heartedly he would not joke about the safety of a child like he hopes it to happen. Which is what it looks like it has been blown up into.
