Happens to me all the time Bro. I go all in thinking I'm hot stuff, but I
wind up getting my ass handed to me by somebody holding one card
better!

It's not right I tell ya! LOL

But alas, that's why we PLAY.

The cards have to lay our way sometime!

Two true stories:

(both during a cash game)

(a) I am on the button and I am all in with a flush- not the nuts- but a decent flush- the only card that can beat me is the jack of hearts. I turn the river card- guess what? Jack of hearts. That one hurt.

Fast forward four months- a week before Christmas to be exact

(b) I am all in needing 9,10 on the turn and river to stay in the game (badly short stacked and threw caution to the wind) - the turn comes 9 of hearts, then the dealer...wanting no part of turning his own fate tries to get someone else to deal the river- everyone refuses. He burns, and turns...

10 of clubs.

So yeah- the cards do have a way of evening themselves out...

I wouldn't do anything that would take away from Marn and Scooter................that ain't cool. Other than a $10.00 game, once, with work buddies.

I don't gamble with real money.

I tell 'em to "either sh*t or get off the pot" No pun intended.

This is only if I have power on the deal though. Sometimes you just
gotta "drop back ten and punt."

Deals like that don't happen all the time, but if it does, I go for the throat.
