Good one, Spud! :D

Here's a Tolkien inspired one:

The Bells of the Field

The golden bells toll
The mariner's fare
The golden bells toll
Sweet music fill the air
The golden bells toll
Call them to the sea
The golden bells toll
No longer under tree
The golden bells toll
Move the Swans from the shore
The golden bells toll
Move the islands once more

do they go ride the grey ship when they here the golden bell? cool stuff

this ones sort of medival/chivalry inspired.

Onward wanderring
searching for a quest
a holy adventure
set above the rest
to benefit all people
onward you stride
outward into glory
with eyes that brightly shine

A quest given
to slay a beast
a dragon to be slain
for not but the least
to rescue a kingdom
lost in tragic ruin
to benefit its people
the action must be soon

A mighty beast
awaits in lair
protecting hoard
and maiden fair
Battle rages
as fire flies
after struggle
dead the beast lies

Returning to a nation
now your name in praise
a great feast now
in your name is on the raise
reward is offered
but you do not care
would take nothing
but settle fo rwhat they think is fair

onward striding
on dusty trails
constantly searching
to make good prevail
selfless and just
you ask for nothing much
only take what is forced
and you care not for such

closet of goodies, Potato. nice one SMD, and here's another from my little shop of horrors...

-Say It Again-

Say it again
it was beautiful boy
I'd listen once more
if you'll have me

say it again
‘twas an excellent piece
and I’ll hear it once more
if I can please

'I don't think so
it was just a junkheap
from the back of my skull
that was piling

'but one more time
I’ll tell it to thee
cause you're still standing there
and still smiling'.
