well last night I went to see the Doors and I have to say it was a brilliant gig....maybe the 4 pubs that we visited contributed to that ;-) ...seriously though I had a brilliant night, Ian astbury was a good singer and at times he sounded and looked like Jim but the sexuality wasn't there...not that I've seen Jim sing live of course but I could just tell from video footage that there was a lot of sexuality at the doors gigs back then.
I've discovered though that Neil Peart has a lot to answer for when listening to drum solos though, the man is just too good and makes most drummers sound shit! it was a good drum solo but nothing like Neil's...
I did sit down during the bass solo though as that was shit!
All in all though they did Jim proud :-)
