Okay, my hockey team is out and I could care less about basketball so the focus has moved to baseball. Go Red Sox!! And if you've caught any Red Sox games this season, you will see that we've got Jesus on our team, playing center field. Well, Johnny "Jesus" Damon.
My husband was in Las Vegas last week and he went to one of the casino sports windows and went to put a bet on the Red Sox to take the AL Pennant and the World Series. Then he found out that right now the money is even as they are actually favored to win both! Must be the Jesus connection?
So... there's the first pitch, Red Sox take it all! Let the brawling begin! And be nice or you'll be ejected from the game. Well, all but you By-tor.

Dream on!by-tor wrote:How are the BoSox gonna take the pennant? Steal it from the A's clubhouse?
My beloved Angels just swept the A's in Oakland.
The fans were really upset.
I mean, the 7 who actually showed up...
THE HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER CONTINUES....

Well, the A"s had to lose a series sooner or later. When the Angels get their team ERA below Texas', let me know.EndlesslyRocking wrote:Dream on!

Don't tell me about rock and roll I'm out there in the clubs and on the streets and I'm living it! I am rock and roll!
Well they are a post-All Star break team (just ask the M's ). But if you're real nice, maybe they'll show you what a WS trophy looks like, since the BoSox's must have rusted away after all this time.PV wrote:Oh, I didn't realize the As were even playing this season. Have they shown up yet??
Hey, I want to go to an Opera, but I'm broke....anyone want to buy a Babe Ruth rookie card?

As much as I dislike Boston sports, brought on recently by Manning's inability to beat Belichek, I take much delight in Boston tearing up the Yankees thus far in the season. All that money for all that talent and for what? 3 games below 500?? However it is early and the Yankees always seem to find a way. As much as I hate the Patriots, I do have a soft spot in my heart for the Red Sox. I did however find a little comfort this weekend with the Pacers tearing up the Celtics in four....
Happy 2015!

And when the A's attendance (you know, those people who fill the seats at home games?) gets above the local junior high school soccer match, you let me know...by-tor wrote:

Oh, and BTW: There's no need to argue: the Yankees and Red Sox both suck equally.

You can have attendance...I'll take the wins. Are the Angels going to play after the AS break this year, or take a vacation again?EndlesslyRocking wrote:And when the A's attendance (you know, those people who fill the seats at home games?) gets above the local junior high school soccer match, you let me know...

Throw the Cubs and Braves into that mix, and I'll agree with you 100%.

And you only need 66 more wins to match last season.EndlesslyRocking wrote:Well, Oakland is 2-4 against us so far. Looks as if you'll get neither (and LIKE IT! as my mom used to say).

I knew I liked ya, Bill. However, you could have left out the comment "the Yankees always seem to find a way."Soup4Rush wrote:I take much delight in Boston tearing up the Yankees thus far in the season. Lucky for you I could give two hoots about basketball. Long gone are the good days of the game and the Celtics.Soup4Rush wrote:I did however find a little comfort this weekend with the Pacers tearing up the Celtics in four....
