Oh no! First Souper and now ER!
You should have been here a few months ago, ER. A Flock of Seagulls came to town and played a bar here. H and I got their license plate number as we drove past the bar (but we tossed it later). _________________ Onward and Upward! |

How did that go....
"I walk along the avenue...(something about) Aurora Borealis in you. I never thought I'd meet a girl like you, meet a girl like and I run I run so far away, I couldn't get away".
MAN!!!! I'm flashin' back quicker than Timothy Leary!
Hey Ogg! Now those damn ships are at my front door askin' for someone named Ogg. I asked them if they meant Egg but they said - "no, Ogg". Something about confiscating Rush bootlegs. I just looked out my window, pointed to the ocean and said "right over there"! _________________ Living One Long Sunrise |

Confession: We used to cover FOS's 'I Ran' in the early days of HusK upped the tempo slightly to perfor a far superior version. Everybody 'dum dum dee dee dum dee dee dum dum...' _________________

I interviewed the bass player for AFOS when I wrote for my college newspaper. Nice guy, very funny.
Not quite as good a player a Geddy, though...

Quote: | Wow wow wow -- word has it RUSH are realeasing a covers EP June 22, in time for their 30th Anniversary tour! Can't wait to hear Rush cover bands like The Who, Love, and The Yardbirds, Buffalo Springfield, and others on classics like "Summertime Blues," "7 & 7 Is," "For What It's Worth," "The Seeker," "Crossroads," and "Shape of Things." (5/10) |
Feedback eh? Is the above the actual tracklisting or mere speculation?...and what's with the 5/10 thing?
Been a fan for a loooong time but have to admit I would've never bet on a Rush covers ep being released.
Thanks NPG and Kares for the info. _________________

Hmmm. I just got an e-mail from a friend that says a new site is registered: www.rushfeedback.com but when I tried it went to Rush.com.
Still site-building? A q for by-tor, I guess.
I saw a copy of the cover (very "Yellow Submarine" yet lavendar, etc.--that is if it is REAL) but I don't know how to post it here.
The songs on the cover are: Summertime Blues (I LOVE this song), Heart Full of Soul, The Seeker, For What it?s Worth, Shapes of Things, Mr. Soul (I think?), Crossroads, Seven and Seven Is.
Are these songs they used to play in the ?club? days? _________________

I'm not sure if they used to play them Kares. "Summertime" I'm sure as that was a standard at the time. Their interpretation of The Seeker should interesting.
I'll be a monkey's uncle!
I didn't see this coming or Neil's book. Total off guard surprises.
What's next? "Rush - The Movie"??????????????????? _________________ Living One Long Sunrise |

Maybe goes with Neil's musical influences in his upcoming book? I'm a monkey's aunt too! _________________

How about if they do Jailhouse Rock the way they, according to Bill Banasiewicz, did in the club days - Yugoslavian lyrics? _________________ 'Do not despise the snake for having no horns, for who is to say it will not become a dragon?' |
