....but 24 would be cool 
I need to admit that I?ve never spent a birthday quite like this year?s before.........I usually always go to the pub or get well and truely steamin? but this year I stayed in with just a couple of beers and a smoke ...... I think I must be getting old cuz I actually enjoyed the ?quiet? birthday
I had a really lazy morning and afternoon........I just lay in bed reading while Jade and Caelan messed about in the bedroom, then later on we went for a walk up the ressi (reservoir). It?s a nice walk up through Polmont Woods (they?re not big woods), the sun was shining, the birds were singing and Jade and Caelan were behaving themselves!!! The ressi is also a fishery so when we got up there we watched the fishermen for a wee while then walked round it........it?s a very very wee bit of water. Then Jade discovered the tadpoles so they both immediately finished their cans of irn-bru so they could catch some........I say finished?. they poured out what was left......
I just sat on the grass and took in the peace and quiet.
Then the inevitable happened ......Caelan fell and burst his lip, not really bad but cuz it was the lip the blood made it look worse than it really was. He sat with me for a wee bit and I cleaned it then in true fashion of kids he was up and about 5mins later as if nothing had happened when I would still have been crying about it!!
When we got back home I had the choice of going to the pub or staying in and watching the Eurovision Song Contest with the kids........I picked staying in!! I should add cuz I dont think you?re get that over there that the Eurovision Song Contest is a load of crap.........the songs are crap, the presenters are crap, everything about it is crap.......but I watch it nearly every year........sad arn?t I
My brother made me a cool card with a pic of Rush on the front and inside and Jade decorated a cake that my mum had made....I only got one present and that was the Muse cd.......see what happens when you have kids you end up getting nothing for your birthday
