Ballads

Post by rushlight »

:D Anybody know a good one? They should be simple like haikus and limericks. In case you're wondering, a ballad is a short, popular narrative poem, suitable for reciting or singing. They are usually sentimental and followed by accompaniment but since nobody can hear us sing, this will have to do. :) Clear as mud? Ok.

Here's an Irish ditty bout a lass named Schue
When Neil Peart remarried, she cried and went boo hoo
But Neil said don't worry, you'll always have my love
Carrie may be my wife but you're my stars above

 Start serving the Guinness!
I love my Welshman.
