I like to throw the "courtroom scenario" out there, so here it is, as it was
told to me:

Imagine you're accused of "redrum" and in court fighting for your
life...You have a lawyer representing you, but unbeknownst to you
he/she actually has OTHER things on their mind....

As it turns out, the lawyer is a smoker - and you're just another
client to represent on a typical workday. The only thing on the lawyer's
mind is the NEXT RECESS - so he/she can go and have a smoke.

Think that scenario wouldn't happen? You'd better think twice.

 That's a scary scenario! I'll always be eternally grateful that I lived with my parents (who would have kicked me into the middle of next week, repeatedly, if I'd smoked and my mom has a nose like a bloodhound) until I was 23. By then I'd married a husband who would have looked at me with sad, sad eyes (which is just as effective as the kicking, to be sure!) so I can say I owe a debt of gratitude to my loved ones because they kept me from starting a habit that I don't know if I'd be strong enough to quit. Thanks, ya'll! :-D

And I'm VERY happy for you guys here who are showing your incredible strength by quitting! You ROCK! :-D

Thanks Pankiddo. :-D

It was a rough life for me. Mom and dad both smoked like chimneys. As did their parents, and countless relatives. I first smoked at 11. Then that asswhoopin ended it until about 14...................until last June. :D And almost everyone in the Army smoked too.

I havent had a puff from a real cigarette since June 19 (ish) 2010.

BUMP!!!

Ok heres a great piece of news. On the 19th, Marnie and I quit smoking cigarettes one year ago. We started on the Smart Smoke and in almost a year now we have only spent $952.37 on stuff for the smart smokes. Now compare that to the $360.00 a month, ( 4,300.00 a year), we used to spend on cigs..........it's like smoking for 9 months for free. I feel good. And not a puff of a real cig either.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

And hopefully in a few months we will be spending less on it. The next bottles of fluid we buy will be the lowest mg they have other than 0 mg, but why use it then right???

I don't understand why you don't give it all up at this point!

C'mon you two! YOU-CAN-DO-EEEET!

I was wondering....since you're not really smoking when using those
things, can you "light up" on the bus or in a office, etc. ?

The way I see it, there seems to be a gray area there.

June 6th was day 200 for me - I was busy running around all day and didn't realize I hit that milestone until the next day.

I'll throw this out there - it's water and nicotine from what I understand - if someone pulled it out at the lanes and started using it I wouldn't ask them to stop because in my eyes they aren't smoking.

Congrats to all! You are doing a GREAT job!

There is talk here of making it iklegal for people to use the smokeless cigs in all the same places it is illegal to use regular ones. I don't get it.

We will soon enough, but not right at this moment.

The legalities of the thing is most likely from non smokers that think they are real, and smokers that get pissy cuz they can't "Smoke" indoors too.

There are also some FDA things still not totally black. Like the # of mg of nicotine................ or something like that. And some manufacturers are using ethylglycol, (antifreeze) as the liquid base to get the water vapor.

200 good deal Zed. :-D
