Update: The Hairballs got here with Bear at 5am today. They saw Mom and then headed home to my house to ged some sleep. Marnie'd been up 24 hours. Leon had a wee bit of sleep on the way but not much.

The night nurse didn't expect Mom to live through the night, but she did and is still here at 10:16am. She wants to quit but just can't bring herself to really give up. She takes a few breaths, quite breathing for about 20 seconds, then breathes again. She was occasionally responsive yesterday afternoon, but is non-responsive now.

I've got more people here taking care of me than I know what to do with. And I am thankful for each and every one (online and in person)!

I just got a message from t and she asked me to post here. At about 6:30 her time her mom passed away. She was with her and holding her hand when it happened.

I can see her with that big smile, telling me I'm part of the family.

My mom loved ya, Rene. She was always thankful whenever I would find good friends and thought that it was her job to take them in, too, and love on them. You n the Hairballs and even people she heard me talk about from the internet that she never met personally like Tonny, PV, Elfie, Soups, BBO,...(continue list, yes, I spoke to her about you lot) she cared and asked about you and prayed for you.

We are all home now, safe and sound.

t we are glad we were able to help out, and would do again if need be, hopefully a better reason to get away, but you know what I mean.

Your mom was and is a special person and will make a spectacular angel for all.

Even though I didn't know her personally, I got a realistic sense of her spirit through you, t. I wish we could have met, but as Elfy points out, there is every possibility that we will get that chance on the other side someday.
I hope you and the kids are okay.
