You have two families: "Joe Legal" and "Jose Illegal". Both families have two parents, two children, and live in California.

Joe Legal works in construction, has a Social Security Number and makes $25 per hour with taxes deducted. Jose Illegal also works in construction, has NO Social Security Number, and gets paid $15 cash "under the table".

Ready? Now pay attention...

Joe Legal: $25.00 per hour x 40 hours = $1000 per week, or $52,000 per year. Now take 30% away for state and federal tax, so henow has $31,231. Jose Illegal: $15 per hour x 40 hours = $600 per week, or $31,200 per year and pays no taxes, so still has $31,200.

Joe Legal pays medical and dental insurance with limited coverage for his family at $600 per month, or $7,200 per year and now has $24,031. Jose Illegal has full medical and dental coverage through the state and local clinics at a cost of $0 per year and still has $31,200.

Joe Legal makes too much money and is not eligible for food stamps or welfare, so he pays $500.00 per month for food, or $6,000 per year and now has $18,031.00. Jose Illegal has no documented income and is eligible for food stamps and welfare. Jose Illegal still has $31,200.

Joe Legal pays rent of $1,200 per month, or $14,400 per year and now has $9,631. Jose Illegal receives a $500 per month federal rent subsidy, so he pays $500 per month, or $6,000 per year and still has $31,200.

Joe Legal pays $200 per month, or $2,400 for insurance and now has $7,231. Jose Illegal says, "We don't need no stinkin' insurance!" and still has $31,200.

Joe Legal has to make his $7,231 stretch to pay utilities, gasoline, etc. Jose Illegal has to make his $31,200 stretch to pay utilities, gasoline and what he sends out of the country every month.

Joe Legal now works overtime on Saturdays or gets a part time job after work. Jose Illegal has nights and weekends off to enjoy with his family.

Joe Legal's and Jose Illegal's children both attend the same school. Joe Legal pays for his children's lunches, while Jose Illegal's children get a government sponsored lunch. Jose Illegal's children have an after school ESL program. Joe Legal's children go home.

Joe Legal and Jose Illegal both enjoy the same police and fire services, but Joe Legal paid for them and Jose Illegal did not pay.

Do you get it, now? If you vote for or support any politician that supports illegal aliens... You are part of the problem! It's way PAST time to take a stand for America and Americans!

Here here Hairy, you might not even need that whole 30% tax without them too as government spending will decrease supporting them. OR at minimum allow them to improve the country if not lowered.

Our governor is sponsoring a bill to give illegals lowered tuition to Massachusetts colleges. Guess who isn't getting my vote next year?

This is a great idea:

Only 3/4 of U.S. State Legislatures are required to pass this to become
law - and the best part: IT'S VETO-PROOF!

Including... NO appeals to the Supreme Court!

(Proposed) 28th Amendment to the
United States Constitution:

"Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States
that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives, and
Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or
Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the
United States."
Don't start none...won't be none.

Heh, as it stood back in the beginning of our nation, Senators and Representatives understood that all laws applied to all people because there was no distinction between public servant and the citizenry.

I would vote for this measure, but would want one part added; any laws currently not applying fully to both Senators/Representatives AND the other citizens of the nation are to be changed such that either all people of this nation now receive whatever benefits are in the law or the law is to be voided and no one shall receive them.

This amendment needs to be retroactive.

Todat I pour a glass of respect to a man who in all his faults, was as good as he could be. This man was born on December 6th 1942. This man grew up in Troy, Montana and after graduating high school went into the United States Air Force. This man married, and started his family. By the summer of 1981 he retired from the Air Force and settled in Spokane Washington. There his 2 sons, and daughter all finished school. One of his sons even followed in his footsteps, joining the Army in 1986. One month after his prior military son, future daughter in law, and a very close family friend almost lost their lives in a horrible roll over accident...............this man suffered a brain anurism on October 21, 1995 that eventually extinguished his flame on the 25th of October. He was almost 53.

This man is my father. John Warren Laffoon

Today dad would have turned 67.

Happy Birthday dad.........*clink* Cheers.
