speaking of which, paid off my axe yesterday and megan asked how far about it was, they said just finishing, ready for the final stages (frets and electronics I assume) so it will definitely ship ontime, maybe early.

Aw man, exciting!

I've only been through the build process once, back in 2002. I carried the catalog with me everywhere, showing whoever would look what I was waiting for! :-D

My other one that I bought new from the factor was an in-stock, so I had it within 10 days. not the same at all.

The other two I bought used. :(

This is my 3rd self torture session :P, the first one took 9-10 weeks to arrive, the bass took 12 to build and shipping on a Friday, then the states had a holiday , so didn't arrive til the NEXT Tuesday (worst episode ever). This one was quoted as 6 wk time, April 30th expected completion.

This wait has been a lot easier for some reason, probably the high powered exam expectations.

I hope that doesn't mean sales are slow for them. :(

Maybe the bolt-ons take less time...

Congrats Myg. It'll be worth the wait, and aren't all good things worth
waiting for?

you've seen my bass, you tell me :D

Also Elf, I would assume bolts take less long as neck and body can be made at the same time, and a standard neck is usually sat out drying premade. 6-8 wks was pretty standard 2 years ago when I orderred the first time, last year was a huge book that bumped it up around 12-16 I think. So more like back to normal, I would think.

UPS ninja deliverred my new axe today, it is fucking STELLAR!

here is the only pic I could get that is decent quickly, more when it is sunny.

Came out more honeyburst than sunset imo, but it looks fantastic.

As it is my first axe with a floyd, I had to play barracuda on it, just had to. It obliged sweetly.

getting the pic resized

Looks like a nice axe to me. So are you heading more to guitar than bass, or just getting better rounded out?
