Think YOU'RE Having a Bad Day?

Post by CygnusX1 »

The average cost of rehabilitating a seal after the Exxon Valdez Oil
spill in Alaska was $80,000.00.

At a special ceremony, two of the most expensively-saved animals were
being released back into the wild, amid cheers and applause from
onlookers.

A minute later, in full view, a killer whale ate them both.
Don't start none...won't be none.

Two animal rights defenders were protesting the cruelty of sending pigs to
a slaughterhouse in Bonn, Germany.

Suddenly, all two thousand pigs broke loose and escaped through a
broken fence, stampeding madly.

The two helpless protesters were trampled to death.

Siggy, all I can do is thank you for posting these. This has brightened my day.

I have always firmly believed that going to extremes can be stupid and wasteful. Sometimes defying the natural order is just plain dumb.

It will be a not-so-good day for many who would normally be partying their asses off today.

According to the official website:
The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman.

So it should really be called the National Day of Interfaith Prayer for the Nation?
