Advice please!

Ok we are stuck going to a show 10 hours away in Houston TX. We are also stuck with one of hubby's friends & his wife. My dream of course is to be within the first 10-15 rows. Anyone know how hard it is to get 4 tickets with decent seats? I know a lot of people have that dream, heck i do not even aim for front row, just want something decent. For houston it is called the Pit area, any help would be greatly appriciated!

Pit seats will easily be $1200 if not $1600
and the only place I've seen them for sale is ebay.
The first few rows behind the pit are usually about $175 and up,
and are just as good.
