FEAR(4 parts) /Gangster of Boats

Post by kwndcpc »

Okay, I admit it, I don't know all the details of RUSH and don't even own every album(all but 3).

I eager to know more.

Would one of you out there who knows, please let me know the story behind the FEAR songs?

I can only find;

PART 2 / The Weapon on SIGNALS
PART 3 / The Witchhunt on Moving Pictures
PART 4 / Freeze on Vapor Trails

Where is PART 1 and what is the story behind FEAR

Also, what is PART 4 / Where's My Thing on ROll The Bones

Where are parts 1-3 and what is the story behind them?

Where's My Thing is a joke. Its called Part 4 of the Gangsters of Boats Trilogy. Of course, a trilogy only has three parts.

Thanx everyone. Especially BY-TOR's URL links. I read a lot of good stuff off that site.

The more I have learned, the more I see that RUSH is foremost about the music and the meaning of the lyrics. The album art and notes are mostly good fun and it seems the band is not too serious about any "hidden" meanings in it.

he wrote them all or tinkered with ideas and relased them as he finished them thus the 3-2-1-4 order sort of thing is the gist of it

Interesting, the 3-2-1-4 order. If you look at the word FEAR, and assign each letter to it's order in the alphabet, you'll get 3-2-1-4. Cool huh? Or do I have wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too much time on my hands :-D
I was lined up for glory, but the tickets sold out in advance.

That's just another coincidence. Neil said that Witch Hunt was the easiest concept for him to express at the time of Moving Pictures. He had parts 1 2 and 3 as concepts at the time, although they were finished in the order of 3-2-1.

Or something like that. There is no great hidden meaning ;)
I remember watching in amazement as Geddy sang, played bass, and played the keyboards with his feet. I thought, "Who is this guy???"

Why don't you try watching Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory synced up with 2112?
