i'm completely ignorant to the holiday, its A not on my calenders and B i don't know whats its for except something to do with the overthrowing of the french hierarchy lol

I think the French celebrate it as their independance or something like that. I'm not sure. Don't quote me on that :shock:

The Bastille was the main prison of the French monarchy. During the revolution, it was stormed by the rebels who, alas, found it nearly empty. They still celebrate it though.
