Hmmmm....I wonder who is happy with this weekend.

LSU beats Texas A&M to advance to the CWS, and Oakland continues to spank the NL while padding their lead in the AL West.

Just who here could be happy?

If you're in the AL West, and not a fan of the A's.......

This is scary

The A's are on fire! Nicely done.

I hope my Halo's start getting healthy soon. We're losing ground fast.

Still, overall I have no room to complain. Over the past 5 years, my teams have been to 4 NBA finals, 2 Super Bowls, and 1 World Series. Not too shabby, especially after a looooooooong dry stretch with the Rams and Angels.

The NL is laying the wood to us right now. Hopefully the AL West will get back on track.

Of course with 6 players on the DL...my Halos will have a tough time of it.

You know, I used to be an Angels fan, first when they had Wally Joyner (who prolly should have won Rookie of the Year over Canseco), and again when they picked up Jim Abbott. I followed Abbott's career from college thru the pros, and always like him.
However, my true heart lies with the Cardinals. Ever have, since I moved to the St. Louis area in '84. And the Cards are on fire this year! 70 RBI's for Rolen?!?!?! Are you kidding me?
As for other sports, I discovered hockey here, so I'm a suffering Blues fan, but when I lived in Denver, before they had baseball and hockey (yeah, I know they had hockey in the late 60's) - I discovered football. And have been a diehard Bronco fan for years.

The A's are tumbling a bit...too bad the Angels can't gain any ground.

Meanwhile, another Angel goes on the DL...

With any luck, the tumble ends tonight, and my A's will hold a 5.5 game lead on the Halo's come Friday morning.

Lackey finally showed up, which is good for us. No walks, I love that.

I think Julie shut her own board down to avoid the furious taunting of her beloved A's. At least you have an ally there...
