Love is a Myth

Love is a myth
Told by strangers
Love is a myth
On radio
Love is a myth
Hidden danger
Love is a myth
On video

You think you haven't found it yet
Your ideals haven't been met
But the answers
That elude you
That will fool you
Are all so unreal

Should I say goodnight?
Should I say goodnight?

Love is a myth
In a kiss
Love is a myth
And fantasy
Love is a myth
can't resist it
Love is a myth
On your TV

The real thing is lying near
The real thing is crying here
But the answers
That will cool you
That will soothe you
Are all in a dream

Should I say goodbye?
Should I say goodbye?
Ach, if Dougie was here he'd tell you himself....

Meat Loaf

I lost a man the other day.
Has anyone seen him?
Deeply to tell,
thrust ahead and behind.
You'll know him by his mother,
shuffling in time.

Did I laugh?
Did I sing?
Did I cry?

A ghost in the night
thunder and rain
wasting time
drowning love in wine

Petting the cat
writing a poem
nipping the bud
time passes
salty cheeks
of oceans
passages

Why, am I wondering was it the meat loaf?
When evil is allowed to compete with good, evil has an emotional populist appeal that wins out unless good men & women stand as a vanguard against abuse.

"Ah me, a grateful heart suffer!

With a gray dawn upon weeping eyes
a stream of light my hair grows whiter day and night
It's time to hind like a the red blaze in the evening sky
and with the crows screaming their cry

caw caw caw

with echo's wings,
a tale of misery reads
blood stain my hands not
words make my mind rot

truth and courage
a tear to weep
upon a mountain steep
and meadows at my feet

a lucid dream to spread my wings
with vivid ray's morning star
Circle the moon around the day
And hide with the red blaze in the evening sky

Caw caw caw

"Ah Me, suffer?

THE COMPUTER SWALLOWED GRANNY

The computer swallowed Granny.
Yes, honestly its true!
She pressed 'control' and 'enter',
And disappeared from view.

It devoured her completely,
The thought just makes me squirm.
She must have caught a virus...
Or been eaten by a worm.

I've searched through the recycle bin,
And files of every kind;
I've even used the Internet,
But nothing did I find.

In desperation I tried a Google,
My searches to refine;
The reply from them was negative,
Not a thing was found 'online.'

So, if inside your 'Inbox,'
My Granny you should see....

Please 'Copy,''Scan' and 'Paste' her,
and send her back to me.
Don't start none...won't be none.

This is a beautiful Summer poem which might help to
cool you down.

It is written by the same wonderful poet who wrote "Winter ."

(If you remember, I sent that one out a year or two ago, and
this is very reminiscent of her lovely style.

I hope you enjoyed that one just as much as you will love this one.

Shit;

It's Hot.

Vines bitter wine
Pretenders of tomorrows spirits
burnt toast infiltrations inner power force
rejection deception incarceration
blood revenge of unsatisfied greed's treacherous maze
living in a graveyard of good intentions sacred illusions.
agnostic trickling water above the clouds
inseparable conclusions of control
resting squash hidden among the leafy boughs of time
plenty if time to reap
wobbling axis of evil
merry-go-round mirror palace
like a tree

piss off it's poet's day

Don't Eat the Yellow Snow

by Frank Zappa

Dreamed I was an Eskimo
(Boop-boop ta-da-da boop-boop Ta-da-da)

Frozen wind began to blow
(Boop-boop ta-da-da boop-boop Ta-da-da)

Under my boots 'n around my toes
(Boop-boop ta-da-da boop-boop Ta-da-da)

Frost had bit the ground below
(Boop-boop aiee-ay-ah-yah!)

Was a hundred degrees below zero
(Boo!)
(Boop-boop ta-da-da boop-boop Ta-da-da)

And my momma cried:
(Boo-hoo hoo-ooo)

And my momma cried:
Nanook-a no no (no no . . . )
Nanook-a no no (no no . . . )

Don't be a naughty Eskimo-whoa-whoa
(Boop-boop ta-da-da boop-boop-Ta-da-da)

Save-your-money-don't-go-to-the-show
(Boop-boop ta-da-da boop-boop-ta-da-da)

Well I turned around, an' I said:
OH-OH
(Boo!)

Well I turned around an' I said:
OH OH
(Boo!)

An' the Northern Lites commenced t' glow

An' she said...
(Boop-boop tee-dee-dee boop)
With a tear-in-her-eye:

WATCH OUT WHERE THE HUSKIES GO,
AN' DON'T YOU EAT THAT YELLOW SNOW

WATCH OUT WHERE THE HUSKIES GO,
AN' DON'T-YOU-EAT-THAT-YELLOW-SNOW!
Don't start none...won't be none.
