On my way from home work tonight, I picked my girl from pre-school. While I was channel surfing the radio, I stopped cause Spirit of the radio was on. Right before the vocals start I asked her, "Who is this Scoot?"
"Geddy Lee" she say's. I almost wrecked the truck. Then I asked her, "Who else is in the band?" " Alex Lifeson" she say's. "And who is daddy's favorite drummer?" And without hesitation Scoot say's "Neil Peart!" I asked her " Who is daddys favorite band," "Rush!"
Wow, now granted, I HAVE been coaching her because it kicks so much ass, But to remember hearing SoR and knowing that it's Rush for my little 5 year old is KOOL!!!!!
So I willingly suffer from proud daddy, I earn it. My Scoot is my life...WHB.

My kids... Just kidding! I have none ;)

That's goood. My kids will like Rush or else they will not have any need for their sense of hearing!

I remember watching in amazement as Geddy sang, played bass, and played the keyboards with his feet. I thought, "Who is this guy???"

I was listening to VT in the car the other day with my daughter. After Earthshine, the Queen of Attitude said "I guess that's not too bad..."

High praise indeed.

*sniff* they grow up so fast...

When my daughter gets to be a couple years older I want to take her to a RUSH concert if this isn't the last of their concert days. HOPEFULLY NOT!!!!!

With as much as she loves all different kinds of music I think she would totally enjoy a RUSH concert. When my husband puts on RIO, no matter where in the house, car, ect., she can't sit still. She's up dancing and what not. But she'll also dance to the Scooby-Doo theme.

Kids are the coolest no matter what.

This may not quite be in the same league, but my 3 year old son James (pic left) already knows nearly all the characters in Lord of the Rings (another obsession of mine). In fact, no long after Fellowship came out on DVD he began talking and one of his first words was Gandalf. besides Frodo, his favourite character, at the moment, is Grima Wormtongue which made it nice when he met Brad Dourif at Collectormania in Milton Keynes last weekend.
