THE album of 2004

Post by Ogg »

The year is at an end and I'm wondering what your personal favourite release of 2004 is?

Please choose ONE album that was released this year please.

Personally I have to sift through many gems but the one album that earnt my 'most hours of listening' honour is 'Welcome to the North' by 'The Music' from Leeds, England. GET IT !

THE MUSIC 'Welcome to the North' http://www.themusicuk.com/ US site, plays the new single when you browse.

"
"This is music made for stadiums. A happy meeting of dance music's communal vibe with rock's awesome bluster.. it's f****** massive in every way" 9.10 NME

"An album which screams ambition and progression"

"It sounds colossal and is unafraid to take on the three giants of epic rock - Led Zeppelin, U2 and Jane's Addiction"

Velvet Revolver: Contraband
"John Rutsey, who was a viking then, Geddy, who wasn't a viking and myself formed the band as it isn't today to patrol war-torn areas of the Middle-East and to incurr as many debts as possible. This we did with a passion."

To be honest, I've not really heard much new stuff this year and I've only actually bought one new release so my vote has got to be Feedback
