I've known of these guys for a long time. But last summer I discovered just how much fun they really are. Any other TMBG fans in here?

Lad looks at other gals
Gal thinks Jim Beam is handsomer than Lad
Isn't that sad?

I only have their DVD and a couple of albums, but I like them a lot. It'd be great to see them live someday. Their videos are absolutely amazing, and the songs themselves are all at once quirky, sad, beautiful, and hysterical. The way they contrast the meaning of their lyrics with the mood of the music is reminiscent of The Smiths. They're almost as great as that band, if you were to construct a pantheon of post-punk groups.

I watched the trailer for their documentary film, and saw appearances from Sarah Vowell, David Cross, and Jon Stewart. Famous nerds who are also fans! I love them all the more for that.
