Watcher Of The Skies

Watcher of the skies watcher of all
His is world alone no world is his own,
He whom life can no longer surprise,
Raising his eyes beholds a planet unknown.

Creatures shaped this planet's soil,
Now their reign has come to an end,
Has life again destroyed life,
Do they play elsewhere, or do the know
more than their childhood games ?
Maybe the lizard's shed it's tail,
This is the end of man's union with Earth.

Judge not this race by empty remains
Do you judge God by his creatures when they are dead.
For now the lizard's shed it's tail
This is the end of man's union with Earth.

From life alone to life as one,
Think not your journey done
For though your ship be sturdy, no
Mercy has the sea,
Will you survive on the ocean of being,
Come ancient children hear what I say
This is my parting council for you on your way.

Sadly now your thoughts turn to the stars
Where we have gone you know you never can go.
Watcher of the skies watcher of all
This is your fate alone, this fate is your own.
(((((((((((((((all'a you)))))))))))))))

As to KISS... I have an acquaintance through another forum who is in a KISS tribute band.

Normally he plays only Carvin gear, but since he's ACE these days he has to play a Les Paul onstage. But he still uses a couple of Carvin V3 stacks for amplification. :-D

Here's a video of them. They seem to have captured the classic KISS vibe.

So basically Kiss will be rock's Menudo?

Interesting question asking if Alex retired and Rush got a new guitarist, then Neil left and another drummer took over, and then finally Ged left,
how would we feel?

I think if the band replaces one member, it's something I would listen to, and I'd probably go to some shows.

I think once a second member was replaced, that would be it for me.

Course I think they retire the band and if anyone does anything else,
it will be under their own name, and not related to the band Rush.

Well... Neil IS a replacement drummer. So we're one step of the way there already. ;)
But I'm with you. It just wouldn't be Rush anymore.

I never quite felt like Pink Floyd was still Pink Floyd after Waters left either.

My other favorite band, Yes, has been through all sorts of personnel changes in its lifetime. Rick Wakeman once said something to effect of, "I believe there will be a Yes long after I'm dead and buried." He sees Yes as being an idea, or philosophy, or something... something that doesn't just go away because members of the group may go away... that there will always be a group of musicians out there being Yes.

I liked it.............other than the drummer overplaying and the Gene voice is not so good. BUT, Very cool still. The costumes are dang close to accurate too. Stage is cool........they obviously love what they are doing.

I give them a super high 8. :-D
