First there is Fruity Loops FL 8 Producer Edition, list price $299. Stupid name, unbelievable PC music creation suite. I found it for free. I've already downloaded, installed and tested it and it works fantastically!

What is FL8?
FL Studio is a fully featured, open-architecture music creation and production environment for PC.
